Volunteer applications are open! Fill out the form below to get started.

Volunteers at the New Britain Industrial Museum have a deep interest in New Britain, it’s history and it’s industry.  They serve as docents giving museum tours, or work behind the scenes assisting with museum operations. Training is provided.

If you love history, are interested in industry or would like to work with and meet interesting people consider volunteering at the New Britain Industrial Museum.

The best part of volunteering for NBIM? Everyone gets to do the “cool stuff.” Learn how to handle delicate museum collections from seasoned collections managers, develop exhibits, interact with people from around the world, plan programs, design marketing materials, write compelling stories, and more. We believe every volunteer has a unique skill set that can help move the New Britain Industrial Museum forward.
